Real-Time FUE
RT-FUE hair transplant
Follicles are extracted and implanted at the same time — each one placed within minutes of being taken, with no storage solution in between. The technique Studio 6 performs most.
- Implanted within minutes
- No storage solution
- Local anaesthesia, out-patient
How it works
What RT-FUE is
Real-Time FUE (RT-FUE) is a follicular unit extraction technique in which extraction and implantation happen simultaneously. As each follicular unit is taken from the donor area at the back of the head, it is implanted into the thinning area within minutes.
In conventional FUE, grafts are usually extracted in a batch first and kept in a storage solution until they are implanted. RT-FUE skips that holding stage, so each graft spends only minutes outside the body. The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, as an out-patient, and it is the technique Studio 6 performs most often.
- 01 Extraction and implantation at the same time
- 02 Each graft implanted within minutes
- 03 No chemical storage solution for the grafts
- 04 No stitches and no linear scar
Suitability
Who RT-FUE may suit
Like any transplant, RT-FUE needs enough healthy donor hair at the back of the head, and hair loss settled enough to plan around. The doctor assesses both before recommending it.
-
A receding hairline or thinning crown
-
Male or female pattern hair loss
-
Enough healthy donor hair to move
-
Patients who want to avoid a linear scar

Robotic technique
The robotic procedure follows the same principle as FUE, but the machine removes grafts one by one and assists in implanting them — less time than manual work, with roots implanted precisely over the required area.

Individual follicular units of 1 to 4 hairs are extracted with 0.6–1mm punches and placed into the balding scalp under local anaesthesia. Transplanted hair keeps growing for life and can be cut, styled and shampooed normally.
